Learning golf requires the proper equipment. Here are some tips to help get you started.
The golf ball is first. They are dimpled, to go farther when struck by clubs.
Next is the tee, a tiny pin that you punch in the ground to place your ball onto. It is used for the first drive at each hole.
Drivers come in several styles because each course has varied landscapes and different clubs are needed for different shots. The terrain can be sand, grass, dirt, or concrete.
One piece of equipment that you must invest in is a good pair of shoes. Golf shoes are different from normal or tennis shoes. They were designed to walk on grass.
Most sport shops sell golf equipment. Online websites is another good source. If you are on a tight budget, used equipment like golf mats is a good bet, especially for the beginner. Gearing up for golf requires some money and time, but once you have your basic equipment, you’ll be set for years of fun.
This is my product review of the gold flex swing trainer, if you want to seriously improve your golf swing then this device is one of the best I have tried to date. Below I will explain some of the great benefits from using this device, whether you use it for practice sessions or for warming up before a round of golf.
This tool is great for warming up those muscles just before you play your round of golf, If like me you have time limitations on your golfing exploits then using this tool for 5 minutes before you tee off can really help your tempo and timing of the golf ball.
Not only is this device great for warming up before you play it is also a fantastic training aid, because of the extra weight on the end of the tool and the whippy shaft, it keeps moving when you reach the top of your backswing. This encourages you to start your downswing with the lower half of your body, hips, knees and legs must begin the downswing to create effortless power in your golf swing.
The flexible 48″ long shaft design also gives the feeling of creating lag in the swing, this lag is vital if you want to hit the golf ball to your full potential. The feeling of waiting for the weighted head to come back down is a great way to experience this lag, therefore keeping your wrists in that vital cocked position for longer to give maximum power at the moment of impact.
What impresses me the most about the gold flex trainer is the fact it really gives you that feeling of acceleration at the moment of impact, you can literally feel your core muscles stretching out and extending to give you that extra power in your golf swing.
I always thought I was a decent ball striker until I started using the gold flex trainer from SKLZ, It has totally improved my rhythm and timing when hitting golf balls. Also because of the feeling of lag in the golf swing you will notice that you will get that penetrating ball flight that you see the pro’s hitting on a regular basis, this penetrating flight is vital to hitting quality golf shots especially in windy conditions.
So if you seriously want to improve your golf swing then I really do recommend the SKLZ golf swing tempo trainer, it is very reasonably priced and can make a massive difference to your ability to play this great game of golf we all love.
Golf is a game of skill and the more shots a player has in the bag, the bigger chance there is for success. While most beginning players struggle off the tee with a slice, learning how to hit a draw can increase confidence and help golfers of all skill levels with added distance.
The first thing to remember is a draw shot is a slight bend of the ball back to the same side as the player stands when hitting a shot, hooking the ball is the same as a slice and is difficult to control, so this will take some time on the driving range to hit the shot your looking for and not one that gets you into trouble on the course.
There’s generally two different methods to hitting a draw, but this article will deal with beginners. First you want to stand with a slightly closed stance, that means you will be aiming right of the target line when you address the ball (For lefties, you will aim slightly to the left).
Next, aim the club face at the desired target, this will create right to left side spin on the ball when hit correctly and help golfers off the tee with dog leg shots or when an obstacle such as a tree interferes with a straight forward golf shot.
Some old school teachers would often teach new players to strengthen their grip and this method could help when first learning this shot, but after a little practice, taking a normal grip and using your stance to move the ball will create a more stable golf shot and allow the player to gain confidence in what their trying to accomplish.
Another important factor is releasing the club. This mean to swing with purpose and a strong follow through. Don’t hit this shot scared or with a weak swing, doing this can make it much more difficult to get the ball moving in the direction you want. Having confidence, even when first learning how to draw the ball is key.
Weight shift is also a key element to hitting the perfect draw. Make sure you move your weight forward through the swing, but don’t over compensate, just swing nice and smooth and get the hips involved, moving through the ball with a strong swing will add more distance, especially off the tee and in turn will have the player hitting less club into the green.
Finally, try hitting mid irons to begin working on this swing, then move up to long irons and woods. Learning how each club reacts will give the player feedback that they can carry on to the golf course and with more practice, help any golfer beat their best score.
